ALEXIA B. BORDEN is an Associate in the Montgomery office and practices in the Firm's Environmental and Natural Resources section. Mrs. Borden's practice focuses on environmental and administrative law, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance under the Clean Air Act. She has worked with in the preparation and negotiation of Title V operating permits renewals, PSD and other air permitting activities. She represents clients before the EPA, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, other state agencies in commenting on proposed regulations and in administrative proceedings. She also defends companies in federal, state and citizen suit enforcement proceedings under various environmental statutes, including several companies responding to EPA's New Source Review (NSR) enforcement initiative. In addition, she represents businesses and individuals against federal agencies to enforce the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act, the Privacy Act, and other information statutes.
