Another major focus has been helping ensure that Balch delivers added value and efficiency to the firm’s clients.

During Mr. Rogers’ leadership, the firm developed a two-day seminar for law students who represent minority and underrepresented groups from across the Southeast. The seminar is hosted annually by Balch and includes students from law schools across the Southeast.

Prior to serving as managing partner, Mr. Rogers was chair of Balch’s Litigation Section for 12 years. During that time, the firm established its own trial training program that continues today, ensuring that trial experience is complimented with internal training by the firm in the skills required of effective courtroom lawyers. Litigation associates annually engage in trial simulations with juries and outside judges. Partners participate as witnesses and instructors. Mr. Rogers has substantial experience presenting cases to juries, judges, arbitrators, administrative bodies and appellate courts. His cases have involved companies and professionals in many industries, including energy, manufacturing, commercial insurance and financial services.
