Balch & Bingham LLP today announced its recognition by Benchmark Litigation: The Definitive Guide to America’s Leading Litigation Firms & Attorneys as a “highly recommended” firm in Alabama. In addition, six of the firm’s attorneys from the Birmingham office, S. Allen Baker, Jr., Charles A. Burkhart, J. Russ Campbell, Michael L. Edwards, Eric Langley and Alan T. Rogers, are listed as “Local Litigation Stars” with R. Bruce Barze, Jr., and Clark Cooper listed as “Future Stars.”

Benchmark Litigation is the only publication to focus exclusively on litigation in the United States. S. Allen Baker, Jr. is a partner in the firm's Products Liability & Casualty Litigation Practice Group and serves as General Counsel to the firm. For the last 30 years, Baker's practice has focused on the defense of personal injury and death cases arising out of product liability, negligence, and toxic and environmental torts.

Charles A. Burkhart is a partner in the firm's Litigation Section. He serves as the firm's hiring partner and is a member of the Executive Committee. His practice includes construction litigation, product liability, electrical injury, death litigation and flood litigation.

Russ Campbell is the chairman of the firm’s Litigation Section. Campbell also is the founding partner of the firm’s Sports and Entertainment Practice. His practice includes energy and utility litigation, commercial litigation, products liability and casualty and sports and entertainment.

Clark Cooper is a partner in the Creditors Rights & Bankruptcy Practice Group and Litigation Section. Cooper has represented clients in a wide variety of litigation matters including creditor and lender rights, matters and concerns, construction disputes, class actions, fraud claims and significant insurance claim cases. Cooper has also litigated cases involving significant personal injury and wrongful death.
