Balch & Bingham LLP Welcomes Five New Partners in Alabama


Balch & Bingham LLP recently welcomed four new Partners in its Birmingham office as well as a new Partner in its Montgomery office.

Todd Lowther joins as a Partner to practice in the firm's Litigation Section at the Birmingham office. Mr. Lowther’s practice currently involves Insurance Coverage Litigation, Personal Injury and Product Liability Litigation and Construction Litigation. Brent Cobb joins as a Partner in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in Birmingham. Mr. Cobb focuses his practice on counseling employers in all aspects of the employment relationship, including training and preventive counseling. Steven Burns joins as a Partner in the Environmental and Natural Resources section in Birmingham. Mr. Burns represents utilities, industrial clients, developers, financial institutions, land owners, waterway users, and businesses. Jeremy Retherford becomes a Partner with the firm's Creditors Rights and Bankruptcy practice group as well as the firm's Litigation practice group in Birmingham. Mr. Retherford regularly represents lenders and other creditors in bankruptcy cases, adversary proceedings and litigation arising in both state and federal courts.

Walter McKay joins as Partner of the firm's Financial Industries Section, practicing primarily in the Real Estate, Lending and Commercial Practice Group at the firm’s Montgomery office. McKay's practice focuses on various aspects of commercial real estate development.

Balch & Bingham also recently welcomed new Partners in the firm’s Atlanta and Montgomery offices. Balch & Bingham LLP has offices in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Washington, D.C.
