JENNY MCCAIN is a Partner in the firm's Birmingham office. Ms. McCain advises financial institutions on numerous regulatory, corporate and transactional matters. Her practice includes large banking organizations and community banks in the Southeast. She is a member of the firm's Credit Crisis Group, a special team of lawyers working on challenges created by the current disruptions in the credit and other capital markets. She regularly represents banks in the purchase and sale of multi-million dollar pools of home equity and residential mortgage loans, including for mortgage-backed securities transactions. She assists financial institutions with their broker-dealer, insurance, fiduciary and investment advisory activities, including third party vendor arrangements, and regulatory and compliance matters. Her community bank experience includes bank formations, acquisitions, sales, interstate expansion and bank powers issues.
Ms. McCain has formed state member and non-member banks, national banks, and federal thrifts. She represents bank owned insurance agencies and broker-dealers licensed in the Southeast.
