LISA JOHNSON SHARP is a Partner in the firm's Birmingham office, where she practices primarily in the areas of general litigation, employment discrimination and regulatory compliance. She tries cases in both federal and state courts and represents clients before state and federal administrative agencies. Her general litigation experience includes defending class action claims in consumer finance and fraud cases as well as contract and other tort claims.

Ms. Sharp’s litigation experience includes defending individuals, public and privately-held companies, utilities, and governmental agencies against claims brought under federal laws, including but not limited to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Lending Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, USA Patriot Act, Title VII, and the Fair Housing Act. She also handles employment-related claims, including retaliatory discharge, breach of contract and tort claims, filed in state court.

Ms. Sharp regularly counsels clients on compliance issues, conducts management and employee training, and conducts internal investigations. She also is available to mediate conflicts as part of a company’s internal dispute process in addition to conducting mediation during litigation.

Ms. Sharp serves as a member of the firm's Executive Committee and as an advisor to the firm's Diversity Committee.
