LISA JOHNSON SHARP is a Partner in the firm's Governmental Relations Practice Group, where she primarily focuses on drafting, reviewing and analyzing legislation and counseling clients on the implications of existing and proposed legislation. Ms. Sharp’s practice also extends to regulatory compliance issues, and she counsels companies and individuals on NRC and DOL compliance matters, including agency investigations, internal investigations, Safety-Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) issues, ADR and enforcement proceedings.
Ms. Sharp has trial experience in both federal and state courts in addition to her experience representing clients before state and federal administrative agencies. Her litigation experience extends to defending individuals, public and privately-held companies, utilities, and other clients against claims brought under state and federal laws, including but not limited to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Lending Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, USA Patriot Act, Title VII, and the Fair Housing Act. She also handles employment-related claims, including retaliatory discharge, breach of contract and tort claims, filed in state court.
Ms. Sharp serves as a member of the firm's Executive and Diversity Committees.
