MICHAEL L. EDWARDS practices in the firm’s Litigation section and in the Financial Services and Transactions section. He was Chair of the Litigation Section from 1989 through 1996 and is a founding member of the firm's Diversity Committee. His practice is concentrated in business litigation. He has represented financial institutions, health care providers, accounting firms, manufacturing, mining and energy companies, as well as individuals. He has experience in products liability, trademark, patent, trade secret, and computer litigation.
Mr. Edwards has lectured on a variety of legal topics, including trial of complex cases, appellate practice, enforcement of agreements to arbitrate, class actions, lender liability, securities litigation, accountants’ liability, shareholder liability for corporate debt, covenants not to compete, and the attorney-client privilege.
