The DRI is a 50 year-old nationwide organization comprised of over 22,000 litigation lawyers. In 2013, the DRI established its first ever Intellectual Property Committee. Will Hill Tankersley, partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group, played a leadership role in the founding of the DRI IP Committee and now serves on its Copyright Sub-Committee. The 2014 DRI IP Conference was the first meeting of the DRI IP Committee, with hundreds of lawyers from across the U.S. in attendance. Will Hill spoke on the “Next Great Copyright Act” and some of the provisions that DRI litigators need to watch.
