Debra Taylor Lewis, partner in the firm’s Birmingham, Ala., office, was quoted by the Mississippi Business Journal in reference to proposed rules released by the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau concerning bank’s classification as “small creditors.” Ms. Lewis commented on the proposed rule’s effect on banks, including an increase in rural classifications for small, community banks and the lifting of escrow requirements as a QM condition.
