Michael J. Bowers, partner in the firm’s Atlanta office, appeared on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” on April 14, 2015, regarding the sentencing of teachers involved in the Atlanta school cheating scandal. Mr. Bowers, former Attorney General for the state of Georgia, along with former DeKalb County District Attorney, Bob Wilson and Balch Investigator, Richard Hyde, led the investigation of cheating by teachers on standardized tests in the Atlanta and Dougherty County public schools. Mr. Bowers commented on the convicted educators’ sentences as well as the lasting effects of the scandal on students in the school system.
