Brandon N. Robinson, partner in the firm’s Birmingham, Ala., office and member of the Privacy & Data Security Practice Group, will present at the American Conference Institute’s 17th Advanced Global & Legal Compliance Forum on Cyber Security & Data Privacy and Protection on Oct. 5 – 6, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Mr. Robinson will present on issues surrounding the use of aggregate data, specifically issues related to liability and ownership when working with third parties, as well as the FTC’s guidelines for the use of big data. Mr. Robinson will also speak as part of the Pre-Conference Workshop, where he will present an overview of key privacy and data security laws, and regulators and enforcement bodies that companies should be aware of as data breaches continue to increase and new regulations emerge.
