Balch & Bingham is pleased to announce that the firm was ranked as a “highly recommended” firm in Alabama in the 2016 edition of Benchmark Litigation, the definitive guide to America’s leading litigation firms and attorneys. This is the fourth consecutive year that Balch has been recognized by Benchmark Litigation.

Benchmark Litigation is the only attorney ranking publication in the United States to focus exclusively on litigation. The rankings are determined by a six-month research period involving extensive interviews with litigators and their clients to identify the leading litigators and firms. During these interviews, independent researchers examine recent casework handled by law firms and ask individual litigators to offer their professional opinions on peers. Highly recommended firms received the most mentions by peers and clients, and were held as dominant in their particular jurisdiction.

Benchmark Litigation also listed eight Balch attorneys as Local Litigation Stars.

  • S. Allen Baker, Jr., partner in the firm’s Birmingham, Ala., office and member of the Product Liability & Casualty Practice Group
  • R. Bruce Barze, Jr., partner in the firm’s Birmingham, Ala., office and chair of the Environmental Litigation Practice Group
