Teri T. Wyly, partner in the firm’s Gulfport, Miss., office and member of the Environmental & Natural Resources Section, was featured in Super Lawyers Mid-South 2015 magazine regarding her environmental work during environmental natural disasters, including Hurricane Katrina and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. After Hurricane Katrina, Ms. Wyly represented the Mississippi Development Authority in a $4 billion homeowner grant program, and since 2010 has been legal counsel to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) as the Trustee for the State of Mississippi in its Natural Resource Damage Assessment claim against BP which resulted in a $2.1 billion settlement for Mississippi. Ms. Wyly continues to represent MDEQ in Gulf of Mexico restoration efforts.
