Brandon N. Robinson Participated in Cyber Critical Infrastructure Panel at National Cyber Summit
Brandon N. Robinson, partner in the firm’s Birmingham, Ala., office and member of the Energy Section and the Privacy & Data Security Practice Group, participated in a panel discussion on “Cyber Critical Infrastructure” at the National Cyber Summit. The National Cyber Summit took place from June 7-9, 2016 in Huntsville, Ala. Mr. Robinson discussed unique aspects of critical infrastructure protection issues ranging from operations to compliance, including the NERC CIP Standards, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, DFARS regulations and more. Panelists included Philip Propes (CISO, Tennessee Valley Authority), Steve Lines (executive director, Defense Industrial Base - Information Sharing and Analysis Center (DIB ISAC)), and Ron McLeroy (technical services manager, Huntsville Utilities), and the panel was moderated by Jamie Miller (president/CEO, Mission Multiplier Consulting). The National Cyber Summit is considered the preeminent event in the Southeast for cyber training, education and workforce development for ever-evolving cybersecurity threats. The summit was attended by approximately 1,500 attendees, including military, government, commercial and academic representatives from a variety of cybersecurity-related disciplines.
