Balch to Host Texas Supreme Court Justice Willet for Luncheon with Law Students

Balch will host a special luncheon featuring Texas Supreme Court Justice Don R. Willett on October 27, 2016. Current law students from the University of Alabama School of Law, Cumberland School of Law, Faulkner Law, and Miles Law School are invited to register for this special luncheon.  Our thanks to the Alabama Policy Institute for helping to coordinate Justice Willett’s visit.

Justice Willett was appointed to the Texas Supreme Court in 2005. He serves as the Supreme Court Liaison to the Texas Center for Legal Ethics, the Task Force to Ensure Judicial Readiness in Times of Emergency, the Grievance Oversight Committee, and the Texas Center for the Judiciary. Prior to his appointment, Justice Willett was a Deputy Texas Attorney General, serving as chief legal adviser to Attorney General Greg Abbott.

The luncheon will take place at Balch’s Birmingham office on Thursday, October 27, 2016, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.  Seating is limited and registration is required by Tuesday, October 25, 2016.
