Karen Billups Spoke on Federal Policy at Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Conference

Karen Billups, partner in our Washington, D.C., office and member of the Energy and Environmental & Natural Resources Practices, spoke at a Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on January 26, 2017. The conference was entitled “Advanced Public Land Law - The Continuing Challenge of Managing for Multiple Use.” Karen drew from her prior experience as staff director of the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources to present alongside counsel from government agencies to discuss perspectives from the Hill on the complex legal framework for management of federal lands, focusing on how policy has changed and where it is headed.

The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation is a collaborative, educational, non-profit organization dedicated to the scholarly and practical study of the laws and regulations relating to mining, oil and gas, energy, public lands, water, environmental, and international law.
