About John
Q&A
  • What types of clients do you represent?

Residential and commercial waste haulers, trucking companies, food packagers, insurers, state and local governments and their agencies, commercial utilities, homeowners associations, contractors, light industry, and religious organizations.

  • What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

Before I joined Balch in 2004, I practiced law in a three-man law firm in a small town. I was literally "thrown into the fire" and began trying lawsuits the week after I was admitted to the bar in 1992. That is what I have done ever since. My work has provided me with a broad base of experience not only with legal issues but also in knowing and understanding various types of individuals from sophisticated executives and business owners to underprivileged individuals and everyone in between. Out of necessity, I developed skills in order to work with people from varied walks of life who had different circumstances and life experiences. This has given me a unique insight in relating to clients and witnesses and in striking juries regardless of the type of matter.
