Terry Chastain is Counsel in the Atlanta office and a member of the Governmental Relations Section.
Prior to his joining our firm, Terry was the Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the Metro Atlanta Chamber. He was also Chairman and Executive Director of Get Georgia Moving, Inc (GGM). GGM is an unprecedented statewide coalition representing more than 60 companies and organizations including transit advocates, economic developers, local governments and the construction industry. The coalition supported a referendum-based effort to generate funding to relieve congestion, ensure our air quality and promote economic development. The Metro Atlanta Chamber advocates proactively on issues ranging from taxes, to trade, transportation, and environmental and quality-of-life issues that will bring high-quality companies and jobs to the Atlanta region. Terry worked at the forefront of public policy discussions from City Hall to Capitol Hill.
Before joining the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Terry was a senior aide to former Georgia Congressman Mac Collins on Capitol Hill, where he handled transportation, appropriations and the Congressman’s Intelligence Committee assignment. Terry holds a B.A. in history from the University of Georgia, and a law degree from Georgia State University.
