Todd is a Partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and is a member of the firm’s Litigation section. He has tried lawsuits on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving, among other claims, breach of contract, negligence, public and private nuisance, violation of restrictive covenants, enforcement of easements, foreclosure of ownership interests, construction defects, insurance coverage issues, and piercing the corporate veil.

His practice currently involves many areas of litigation, including the following:

  • Insurance Coverage Litigation: Todd has experience representing both policyholders, additional insureds, and insurance carriers in coverage analysis, coverage litigation, and risk allocation issues involving various types of liability insurance policies, including but not limited to the commercial general liability policy, commercial automobile policy, commercial property policy, commercial crime policy, professional liability policy, health insurance plans, and various E&O policies. Todd routinely participates as a speaker at insurance-related CLEs.
  • Personal Injury and Product Liability Litigation: Todd has experience defending wrongful death, personal injury, and product liability claims, including but not limited to claims involving industrial equipment, trucks and other vehicles, electrical equipment, and medical devices and services.
  • Construction Litigation: Todd has experience bringing lawsuits on behalf of and defending contractors, developers, and owners in various construction related claims involving many issues including, but not limited to, construction defect claims, failure to perform contractual responsibilities, RICO, and immigration related issues.  He also has experience analyzing construction-related insurance coverage issues.
