Tray Hairston and Lucien Smith to serve on Governor-Elect Bryant’s Transition Team
Tray Hairston and Lucien Smith to serve on Governor-Elect Bryant’s Transition Team. On November 29, 2011 Governor-Elect Bryant announced the creation of 11 policy committees to provide input on key issues facing Mississippi and to assist in building core policy agenda items for the upcoming legislative session in January.
The Committees are:
Hairston, a former member of the Global Business Division at the Mississippi Development Authority where he provided project management assistance to companies & consultants looking to locate new businesses in Mississippi, will serve on the Governor-Elect’s Jobs Committee.
Smith served previously as Counsel to Governor Haley Barbour where he was a senior advisor on state budget and finances, in addition to overseeing outside litigation to which the State of Mississippi was a party, and acting as the Governor’s chief advisor on law enforcement and corrections policy. He will serve on the Governor-Elect’s Budget Committee.
