    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence including letters, memos, contracts, transactional documents and reports.
    • Organize and maintain files.
    • Maintain calendar and deadlines for attorneys.
    • Schedule meetings and conferences.
    • Answer incoming telephone calls.
    • Enter billable time and process pre-bills.

  • Litigation Support Manager - Birmingham, AL

    The Litigation Support Manager is responsible for maintaining and coordinating projects related to the firm's litigation practice. This position works with attorneys, paralegals, and project coordinators across all offices, the IT Staff and other departmental managers. This individual acts as the primary internal subject matter expert on trial support, forensics, and e-discovery litigation activities.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee Litigation Support and E-Discovery Specialists
      Interface with e-discovery vendors regarding contract terms, project management, billing, and other matters
    • Consult with case teams on e-discovery and technology issues, including but not limited to: preservation, collection, forensic examination, and review best practices, technology optionsstaffing needs, and application support and training
    • Coordinate efforts between case teams, clients, and third party vendors regarding e-discovery collection, processing, review and production
    • Serve as staff liaison to the E-Discovery Practice Committee   
    • Manage case projects and document reviews as needed by case teams
    • Maintain, update, and document internal protocol to ensure compliance and uniformity of e-discovery practices
    • Create and maintain databases of discovery documents and transcripts using a variety of e-discovery platforms and other applications as appropriate, update and maintain current case databases
    • Coordinate courtroom presentation support, preparation of trial exhibits and presentation materials using PowerPoint, TrialDirector, or other applications, as needed
    • Evaluate and provide recommendations on litigation technology hardware/software solutions
    • Provide day-to-day support to attorneys and other support staff for litigation technology needs

             

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • A strong analytical and problem solving orientation with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is required
    • Knowledge of litigation support software and/or review platforms is required
    • A solid understanding of all Microsoft Office applications, Windows and technology hardware is required
    • Strong written and oral communication skills are required
    • A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, follow detailed instructions and meet established deadlines is required
    • Must be a self-starter with ability to visualize data and software behavior - and coordinate the two
    • Experience with LAW, Casemap, Trial Director or other litigation document management systems is preferred but not required
    • Trial Support “hot seat” experience is a plus
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments, and shifting responsibilities and deadlines
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    • Commitment to work overtime, if necessary

           

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Marketing & Business Development Specialist – Birmingham, AL

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Facilitate the firm's brand across social media platforms, owned web properties and digital content partnerships consistent with the firm's marketing and business development strategy designed to engage with target audiences.
    • Provide training and support for attorneys on their personal LinkedIn accounts.
    • Continually monitor, analyze, and report on the firm's social media engagement and other key metrics and identify growth opportunities.
    • Coordinate daily with members of the marketing and business development team to ensure social media activities are aligned with strategic communications priorities.
    • Support the production of client alerts, event invites, and podcasts/videos.
    • Draft press releases and in coordination with PR team, ensure coverage of firms news.
    • Serve as lead writer for internal newsletters.
    • Support client events (in-person and virtual) and business development activities.
    • Write, review, and update website content including biographies and news items.
    • Assist with the preparation and production of business development presentations, proposals, and marketing collateral.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Business development Team to develop initial drafts for submissions to legal ranking organizations and assist in the coordination of interviews as appropriate.
       
       

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, creative writing and editing abilities.
    • Advanced knowledge of digital marketing strategies and highly developed experience with online measurement platforms.
    • Demonstrated ability to transform raw data into succinct, useful, and persuasive recommendations.
    • Ability to prioritize, perform under pressure, multi-task, manage internal expectations and meet deadlines.
    • Well-versed in web content management systems, social media platforms, basic HTML, Microsoft Office Suite, and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs.
    • Desire to embrace and learn new legal marketing software and attend seminars, webinars and demos regularly.

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in PR/Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field is required.
    • 3-5 years relevant experience working in digital communications/social media.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in legal or professional services preferred.

  • Recruiting Coordinator – Birmingham, AL

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as primary point of contact for law school on-campus and in-office recruiting programs. Schedule and coordinate law student outreach initiatives, including early recruiting programs, events, and receptions.
    • Serve as liaison to summer associates. Assist in planning and executing summer program. Coordinate and monitor ongoing communication with summer associates. Provide reports on progress as needed.  
    • Assist in planning and coordinating training modules and programs targeted for continuous awareness and development of diversity & inclusion, recruiting, talent development, and community outreach.
    • Assist in planning, coordinating, and facilitating orientation, integration, career development, mentoring, and training initiatives for new and lateral attorneys.
