  • DEI Specialist - Birmingham, AL

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as primary point of contact for DEI outreach.  Maintain relationships with external groups and companies to identify opportunities for partnerships, exchange information and plan events. 
    • Coordinate and facilitate the firm’s new and ongoing diversity, equity and inclusion programs, including its signature pipeline program, the Susan B. Livingston Boot Camp for Success, and its participation in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).
    • Assist with implementing and facilitating policies, programs, events and trainings designed to attract, retain and promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
    • Maintain and track quantitative and qualitative diversity data via CRM.  Conduct initial data analysis in comparison to internal and industry benchmarks.  Assist with generating reports for various groups and requests, including annual industry and client diversity surveys, as well as client requests for proposal/information.  
    • In collaboration with marketing department, develop branding including internal and external communications and web content for diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. 
    • Support the firm’s DEI Council and employee resource groups, including coordinating meetings and related events.   
    • General administrative tasks. 
    • Maintain detailed financial information for budget tracking purposes.
    • Some additional projects related to the firm’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. 

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
    • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in diversity, equity and inclusion, learning and development.  Legal industry experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and video conferencing platforms.

  • Director of Finance - Birmingham, AL

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions including general ledger, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, client billings and collections.
    • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis of budgets, forecasts and management reports.
    • Preparation of the firm's annual operating, capital and cash flow budgets.
    • Provide insight on business trends, lateral acquisitions and other due diligence.
    • Obtain and manage working capital and other financing facilities.
    • Ensure effective internal controls are in place for compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

  • eDiscovery Specialist – Birmingham, AL

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Respond to first level on-demand training and assistance requests for all firm eDiscovery applications. 
    • Provide project management for eDiscovery projects, including reviewing and loading of data and images to databases, and providing assistance and expertise to legal team in the generation of database queries, privilege logs, reports and productions.
    • Use a working knowledge of basic and advanced functions of the firm’s eDiscovery software tools to recommend appropriate software to accomplish eDiscovery objectives.
    • Work both independently, and as part of a team, to ensure that eDiscovery jobs progress quickly, efficiently and with high quality.
    • Track eDiscovery jobs from matter initiation through production.
    • Effectively communicate job status and potential issues with Litigation Support Manager.
    • Provide assistance with monthly invoice intake from eDiscovery vendors as needed.
    • Provide back-up courtroom and trial support as needed..
       
       

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • A strong analytical and problem solving orientation with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Intermediate or advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, Windows and technology hardware.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, follow detailed instructions and meet established deadlines.
    • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and assignments, and shifting responsibilities and deadlines.
    • Experience with trial presentation software (TrialDirector, Sanction, OnCue) is preferred.
    • Some travel is required. .

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Five (5) years of law firm experience and paralegal certification preferred.
    • Two (2) years of experience in a Relativity environment preferred.

  • Information Technology Support Specialist - Birmingham, AL

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Receive and respond to Help Desk calls in a timely manner via the approved Help Desk system.
    • Install and troubleshoot individual software applications as needed.
    • Image, configure and install computers.
    • Maintain and track check-out equipment such as laptops, projectors, mobile devices, etc.
    • Assist in audio/visual/computer setup in conference rooms as required.

  • Litigation Paralegal - Atlanta, GA

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support substantive legal division processes by performing key job functions of complex litigation such as drafting and/or reviewing legal documentation and correspondence with minimal attorney supervision.
    • Calculate and calendar dates/deadlines based on appropriate federal, state, local or agency rules, scheduling orders and discovery deadlines.
    • Prepare for and coordinate litigation proceedings, monitor litigation caseload, and assist with pre-trial discovery and trial preparation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as primary point of contact for associate recruiting outreach.  Oversee and manage on campus interview (OCI) process from start to finish, including registration, resume selection, interview preparation, candidate callback and decision processes across offices.   
    • Plan and execute early and year-round recruiting events.  Assist with Susan B. Livingston Boot Camp for Success pipeline program.
