  • Legal Secretary (Corporate) - Birmingham, AL

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence including letters, memos, contracts, transactional documents and reports.
    • Organize and maintain files.
    • Maintain calendar and deadlines for attorneys.
    • Schedule meetings and conferences.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements.
    • Answer incoming telephone calls.
    • Enter billable time and process pre-bills.
    • Research and respond to inquiries and requests for information.
    • Provide other support as necessary.
       

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong word processing skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
    • Ability to handle and adjust effectively to competing deadlines and priorities.
    • Typing speed of 55+ wpm.

  • Marketing Coordinator - Birmingham, AL

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with CMO and outside agencies to develop ad campaigns, coordinate all trafficking and ensure all bar compliance. This includes assisting with message development, creative brainstorming and maintaining a keen understanding of the firm’s practices, expertise, attorneys and relevant industry trends.
    • Work with marketing and communications manager to engage with industry associations, supporting the coordination of all sponsorship activities and helping to identify new ways to maximize sponsorship benefits.
    • Coordinate professional photos for lawyers; schedule sessions with photographer and maintain electronic files of all photos.
    • Assist with responses to RFPs, pitches and proposals.
    • Assist with the coordination of business development training sessions.
    • Support the marketing specialist in maintaining the firm’s website and intranet for editorial tone and compliance with brand standards. In coordination with broader Marketing Communications team, assist in the development and implementation of the editorial calendar for website and Intranet content.
    •  Provide support for market recognition efforts, awards and legal directory submissions (Chambers USA, Legal 500, etc.).
    • Support research projects for strategic market opportunities.
    • Support the marketing team’s initiatives with the planning executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as webinars, podcasts, email campaigns, events, social media, or content marketing.
    • Support marketing, business development and client service initiatives firm wide.
    • Oversee the firm’s current database/mailing list tools.
    • Administrative and other projects as assigned.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage projects with and without direct supervision.
    • Strong written communication and interactive skills.
    • Exceptional dependability and responsiveness.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or similar area preferred.
    • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a professional environment or law firm.
    • Previous experience working with marketing technology preferred – website content management systems, email distribution systems, Adobe Suite..
