FERC Issues Order Denying DOE Portsmith's Compliance Registry Determination Appeal

On July 21, 2008, FERC issued an order denying an appeal of the U.S. Department of Energy, Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office (DOE Portsmouth) protesting NERC’s decision that ReliabilityFirst properly registered DOE Portsmouth as a transmission owner, transmission operator, and distribution provider.  The order remands to NERC for further consideration on the issue whether DOE Portsmouth was properly registered as a load-serving entity.  To view the FERC order, click here.
