NERC Responds to Comments on the Registration of Load-Service Entities for End-Use Customers served by Retail Power Marketers

On September 17, 2008, NERC submitted an answer in response to certain of the comments filed in protest of FERC’s acceptance of NERC’s July 31, 2008 compliance filing. Specifically, several parties filed interventions, protests, and/or comments in response to FERC’s approval of the procedural aspects of NERC’s short-term and longer-term plans to address the reliability gap that would result if there is no Load-Serving Entity were registered on behalf of end-use customer load served by retail power marketers.
