NERC Submits Supplemental Compliance Filing Regarding Interconnection Reliability Operating Limits

On February 3, 2009, NERC supplemented its October 31, 2008 compliance filing that was submitted to FERC in response to paragraph 951 of Order No. 693 requiring NERC to conduct a year-long survey of Interconnection Reliability Operating Limits (IROL) practices and actual operating experiences.  NERC’s supplemental compliance filing contains ten attachments that provide emergency operating procedures for specific transmission facilities and contain information about existing infrastructure that goes beyond mere location.  These attachments constitute non-public critical energy infrastructure information and, therefore, only the transmittal letter is available as part of the public filing.  To view the transmittal letter to NERC’s supplemental compliance filing, click here.
