NERC Submits Amended Bylaws of ReliabilityFirst for FERC Approval

On March 24, 2009, NERC submitted amendments to the Bylaws of ReliabilityFirst, one of the eight Regional Entities to which NERC has delegated certain statutory functions, to FERC for approval. The amendments to ReliabilityFirst's Bylaws that are the subject of NERC’s filing consist of two substantive amendments and a number of typographical or clerical corrections and revisions. The two substantive amendments are: (1) changes related to independent directors in §§ 7.4(a), 7.4(d), 7.4(g), 7.5, 7.7(b), 7.9 and 7.13; and (2) changes relating to electronic transmission (e.g., email, facsimile) in §§ 5.8, 6.8, 6.9, 6.10, 6.10.4, 7.7(a), and 7.11.
