NERC Seeks Approval of and New Effective Date for Facilities Design, Connections, and Maintenance Reliability Standard

On January 28, 2011, in Docket RM08-19, NERC filed a petition to FERC for approval of its proposed Facilities Design, Connections, and Maintenance Reliability Standard (FAC-013-2 (Assessment of Transfer Capability for the Near-term Transmission Planning Horizon).  In addition, NERC seeks approval of two terms to be added to the NERC Glossary of Terms:  (1) Near-Term Transmission Planning Horizon; and (2) Year One.  NERC also requests FERC’s approval of the associated implementation plan for FAC-013-2 that calls for the retirement of FAC-012-1 (Transfer Capability Methodology) and FAC-013-1 (Establish and Communicate Transfer Capabilities) and a new effective date of FAC-013-2.  To view NERC’s petition, click here.
