NERC Files Petitions for Approval of Revised “Bulk Electric System” Definition and Exceptions Procedure

On January 25, 2012, in Docket No. RM12-6, NERC filed a petition for FERC Approval of a revised definition of “Bulk Electric System” in the NERC Glossary of Terms Used in Reliability Standards.  NERC also requested FERC approval in this proceeding of the proposed document entitled “Detailed Information to Support an Exception Request”, which will be used in the submittal, review, and approval or disapproval of requests for Exceptions from the application of the BES Definitions.  Finally, NERC requested FERC approval of its implementation plan for the revised BES Definition.
