NERC Files Motion for Extension of Time

On May 23, 2013, in Dockets RM12-6 and RM 12-7, NERC submitted a motion for an extension of time of the effective date of the definition of Bulk Electric System and request for shortened comment period and expedited action. The motion requests that the Commission: (1) grant an extension of time of the effective date of the definition of “Bulk Electric System” from July 1, 2013 to July 1, 2014, in the interest of regulatory certainty; (2) shorten the period to respond to this motion to May 30, 2013; and (3) issue an order granting the extension prior to June 30, 2013.
