FERC Issues Order Approving EOP-004-2 Reliability Standard

On June 20, 2013 in Docket RD13-3, FERC issued an order in which it approved Reliability Standard EOP-004-2, which will replace two existing Reliability Standards, EOP-004-1 Disturbance Reporting, and CIP-001-2a Sabotage Reporting. Reliability Standard EOP-004-2 merges EOP-004-1 and CIP-001-2a, and represents a significant improvement in the identification and reporting of events. EOP-004-2 provides a comprehensive approach to reporting disturbances and events that have the potential to impact the reliability of the bulk electric system in accordance with several Commission directives.
