FERC Issues Order Granting in Part and Denying in Part Requests for Clarification and Denying Rehearing of Order No. 764-A

On September 19, 2013 in Docket No. RM13-16, FERC issued an Order granting, in part and denying in part requests for clarification and denies requests for rehearing of Order No. 764-A, the order on rehearing/clarification of Order No. 764, the Integration of Variable Energy Resources final rule. 

Order No. 764 was issued on June 22, 2012, and amended the pro forma Open Access Transmission Tariff (“OATT”) to purportedly remove unduly discriminatory practices and to ensure just and reasonable rates for FERC-jurisdictional services. FERC issued Order No. 764-A on December 20, 2012. Order No. 764-A affirmed FERC’s basic determinations in Order No. 764, provided clarification, and granted EEI’s request to extend the period for compliance filings to November 12, 2012.
