NERC and Texas RE File Joint Petition for Approval of Proposed Reliability Standard BAL-001-TRE-01

On September 18, 2013, in Docket No. RM-__, NERC submitted a joint petition of NERC and the Texas Reliability Entity, Inc. (“Texas RE”) for approval of proposed regional Reliability Standard BAL-001-TRE-01. The purpose of proposed BAL-001-TRE-01 is to provide a regional Reliability Standard for the ERCOT Interconnection related to the maintenance of steady-state frequency within defined limits by balancing real power demand and supply in real-time.
