NERC Submits Informational Report on Standards Process Results

On April 1, in Docket No.  EL13-22, NERC submitted a quarterly report on the status of an investigation into PacifiCorp’s allegations in a November 16, 2012 complaint against the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP). FERC directed NERC to file quarterly status reports until the investigation is completed in a March 4, 2013 order on the complaint.  NERC has concluded its investigation and based on the evidence reviewed, the Compliance Investigation Team did not find any potential noncompliance by LADWP or WECC regarding the Reliability Standards in question.  NERC Enforcement concurs with these conclusions.  NERC also notes in its Informational Report that LADWP and PacifiCorp have entered into a settlement agreement in which they have agreed to an System Operating Limit and associated limit on net generation imports for the facilities at issue.  This filing is NERC’s final informational status report.
