NERC Submits Comments in Response to NOPR on Generator Relay Loadability and Revised Transmission Relay Loadability

On April 21, 2014, in Dockets RM13-19 and RM14-3, NERC submitted comments in response to FERC’s March 20, 2014 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) proposing to approve Reliability Standards PRC-025-1 (Generator Relay Loadability) and PRC-023-3 (Transmission Relay Loadability).  NERC developed proposed Reliability Standard PRC-025-1 in response to FERC directives issued in Order No. 733, in which FERC approved an initial version of a Reliability Standard governing transmission relay loadability.  Reliability Standard PRC-02303 revises a currently-effective standard pertaining to transmission relay loadability. In its comments, NERC supports FERC’s proposal to approve the proposed Reliability Standards.
