On July 17, 2014, in Docket No. RM14-8, FERC issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) proposing to approve Reliability Standard PRC-005-3- Protection System and Automatic Reclosing Maintenance. The proposed Reliability Standard requires applicable entities to test and maintain certain autoreclosing relays as part of a protection system maintenance program.
