FERC Issues Order Approving Southern California Edison Consent Agreement Regarding 2011 Southwest Blackout

On October 21, 2014, in Docket No. IN14-8, FERC issued an order approving a consent agreement between FERC’s Office of Enforcement, NERC, and Southern California Edison ("SCE"), stemming from the FERC-NERC joint investigation into SCE’s involvement in the September 8, 2011 Southwest Blackout.  The consent agreement includes a $650,000 civil penalty and various compliance requirements.  This is FERC’s third order related to  the 2011 Southwest Blackout, and it concludes the joint investigation.
