FERC Accepts NERC’s Petition to Approve the WECC Data Request Process

On December 2, 2014, in Docket No. RR15-1, FERC issued a letter order accepting NERC’s petition to approve the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) Data Request Process. NERC submitted the petition on October 23, 2014. NERC Rules of Practice and Procedure allow regional entities to develop their own data request procedures, provided that they meet the basic requirements contained in Section 1600 of the Rules. NERC approved the WECC procedures in August 2014.
