NRC Plans to Review Administrative Regulations

Beginning in fall of 2017, the NRC will initiate a retrospective review to identify outdated or duplicative administrative regulations. Once identified, those regulations will be evaluated to determine if they can be eliminated without impacting the NRC’s safety and security mission. The NRC will develop a strategy to accomplish this review and will seek input from stakeholders through public meetings and Federal Register notices. The NRC hopes this review will result in increased efficiency and improve management and administration of regulatory activities.
