Gregory C. Cook Spoke at American Bar Association's 2016 Section of Litigation Annual Conference Regarding Multi-State Class and Mass Actions
Gregory C. Cook, partner in the firm’s Birmingham, Ala., office and chair of the Financial Services Litigation Practice Group, spoke at the American Bar Association's 2016 Section of Litigation Annual Conference on April 14, 2016, in Chicago. Mr. Cook spoke on multi-state class and mass actions in a program entitled, “Is This CAFA or Kafka? Multi-State Actions in a Time of Metamorphosis”. The session discussed the choices for both plaintiffs and defendants, including the MDL Panel and CAFA, which can alter the result of a lawsuit and cost parties tens of millions of dollars.
