Balch & Bingham Receives Top Rankings in Chambers USA 2016 with 32 Attorneys and 13 Practice Groups

Balch & Bingham LLP is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by Chambers & Partners, publishers of Chambers USAAmerica’s Leading Lawyers for Business, as one of the top law firms in the United States with 32 attorneys and 13 practice groups included in the 2016 edition of Chambers USA. 

Balch attorneys and practices have been consistently ranked in Chambers USA, which is widely regarded as a globally recognized, prominent legal guide for ranking the top law firms and attorneys based on their strengths and reputations in the legal industry. As one of the most well respected legal rankings, the guide is read by industry-leading companies and organizations worldwide. 

Each year, Chambers USA determines rankings for top law firms and individual attorneys through interviews and surveys with attorneys and their clients, as well as an analysis of its own database resources. Rankings are assessed on technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment and other qualities valued by clients. 

Highlights from the firm’s 2016 Chambers USA rankings include:

  • Thirty-two Balch attorneys were individually recognized by Chambers USA as leading lawyers.  
  • Balch had 10 attorneys who earned a top-tier Band 1 ranking within their practice areas.
  • Three attorneys made their first appearance within the rankings.

  • A total of 13 practice areas were recognized.
    • The firm was recognized both globally by Chambers Global and nationally in Chambers USA for its work in Energy: Nuclear (Regulatory and Litigation.
    • At the state level, four Balch practices were recognized as top-tier with Band 1 rankings for Banking & Finance (Alabama), Real Estate (Alabama), Energy & Natural Resources (Mississippi) and Labor & Employment (Mississippi).
    • The firm was ranked for the first time for its Real Estate practice in Mississippi.
