Balch & Bingham’s Ben Stone Recognized as Mississippi’s Top 50 Most Influential
Balch & Bingham LLP is pleased to announce that Ben Stone, partner in the firm’s Gulfport office and member of the Energy Practice, has been recognized as one of Mississippi’s Top 50 Most Influential. The inaugural list, sponsored by Y’all Politics and Supertalk Mississippi, recognizes influential leaders in the state of Mississippi.

Stone was recognized at an awards ceremony honoring the Top 50 on Nov. 9, 2016 at the Old Capitol Inn in Jackson, Mississippi. The Mississippi Top 50 is an annual list of the people who are recognized as the most influential leaders in the state. The list includes elected and appointed officials, and economic development, business, media, and government affairs professionals.
Prior to joining Balch, Stone served as a state senator for Mississippi from 1968 – 1979. For the past __ years, Ben has worked in Balch’s Gulfport office, serving as general counsel to multiple companies. He regularly counsels clients on a variety of energy and utility matters, as well as state governmental relations, legislative matters, and economic development. He is recognized nationally by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America.
Stone has served on numerous organizations that positively impact Mississippi. He is currently the chairman of the Mississippi Ethics Commission and serves on the board of directors for the Gulf Coast Business Council. He is also a member of the Mississippi Economic Council and the Mississippi Industrial Development Council.
