Walter Boone Spoke at Behavioral Healthcare Executive Panel Series Regarding Common Ethical Issues Facing the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Industry
Walter Boone, partner in the firm’s Jackson office and member of the Litigation and Health Law Practices, spoke at the Behavioral Healthcare Executive Panel Series in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 15, 2017. His presentation was entitled, “Ethics in Behavioral Healthcare Business Operations.” Walter discussed common ethical issues facing the alcohol and drug treatment industry, including patient financial responsibility, ethical marketing, and drug testing. He also addressed recent issues affecting the industry, including the new Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) regulations regarding confidentially, and current issues and trends in mental health parity for addiction treatment.
The Institute for the Advancement of Behavioral Healthcare publishes Behavioral Healthcare Executive, which hosted the panel.
