Will Hill Tankersley and Adam Israel Led Alabama Business Law Conference, Shared Insights on Alabama Restrictive Covenants Act
Will Hill Tankersley, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, and Adam Israel, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, partnered with Alabama Law Weekly to organize and present the annual Alabama Business Law Conference in Birmingham on October 27, 2017. Will Hill and Adam were instrumental in the organization and execution of the event, serving as co-planners and emceeing the event. The conference featured an accomplished panel of speakers, including a current Alabama Supreme Court Justice, who shared insights on various Alabama business law topics important to Alabama private practice business lawyers and in-house counsel.
For the third consecutive year, Will Hill and Adam shared updates on the Alabama Restrictive Covenants Act with attendees. The Act, which took effect on January 1, 2016, affects non-compete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, and other fair competition agreements. Adam and Will Hill played leading roles in the act’s drafting and passage and are frequent presenters on the provisions of the new act.
