Steven Burns Shared Insight on EPA's Proposed Coal Ash Rule in Law360 Expert Analysis
Steven Burns, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Environmental & Natural Resources Practice, authored an expert analysis article for Law360 regarding the EPA’s proposed remand rule governing coal combustion residuals. The article, entitled “A Closer Look At EPA's Proposed Coal Ash Rule,” was published on May 3, 2018. Steven analyzed the proposed remand rule, in which EPA proposes regulation changes in response to litigation in the D.C. Circuit. He discussed the implementation of performance-based regulations and risk-based provisions, as well as regulatory oversight provided by the WIIN Act.
