Martha Thompson and Dorman Walker Discussed Workplace Harassment at EEOC Seminar

Martha Thompson, partner in the firm's Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, and Dorman Walker, partner in the firm's Montgomery office and member of the Labor & Employment Practice, discussed workplace harassment from the employer’s perspective at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Birmingham District’s Technical Assistance Program Seminar (TAPS) on August 1, 2018. 

Both Martha and Dorman are members of the firm’s #MeToo task force, a multi-disciplinary group of attorneys who advise employers on harassment-related matters. The team’s deep experience in labor and employment compliance, employment litigation, and investigation response is combined with industry-specific insights to offer fully integrated counsel to businesses.

The Birmingham TAPS event is an annual training program which covers existing and emerging EEOC laws and procedures. The event brought together human resource professionals, private/state and local government managers and supervisors, EEO managers and supervisors, attorneys, union officials and federal EEO counselors and investigators.
