Greg Cook Moderates ABA Webinar on Witness Preparation Strategies

Greg Cook, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and chair of the Banking & Financial Services Litigation Practice, moderated an American Bar Association (ABA) webinar on effective witness preparation on September 5, 2018.

The webinar, titled “Why Smart People Give Stupid Testimony,” featured Ken Berman, an ABA best-selling author and public speaker. Participants learned how to effectively prepare witnesses to deliver impactful, truthful testimony in court by building trust and credibility and preparing for unique lines of questioning.

The ABA is the leading professional network for attorneys, and provides education, resources and trends related to the practice of law across more than 20 specific sections. Greg was recently named the co-chair of the ABA’s Section of Litigation’s Professional Development Committee.  

At Balch, Greg serves as the chair of the Financial Services Litigation Practice Group, focusing specifically on financial services and commercial litigation, including class action and complex litigation. He has defended over 60 class actions, handled over 250 real estate and mortgage matters, and is part of over 40 reported opinions. He has been designated a BTI Client Service All-Star and is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America and Benchmark Litigation for his financial litigation practice.
