Greg Cook Served as Author for Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure Annotated, Fifth Edition

Greg Cook, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and chair of the Banking & Financial Services Litigation Practice, recently served as the author of the Fifth Edition of the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure Annotated, published by Thomson Reuters.

The Fifth Edition marks the first revision since 2004 to the publication, which serves as the definitive treatise on the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure and as a first resource for legal practitioners. Building on the work of the book’s original author, Justice Champ Lyons, the Fifth Edition ensures that the publication’s content is aligned with current laws and policies relevant to judicial decisions issued on or before March 31, 2018.

Greg is a member of the Alabama Supreme Court’s Standing Committee on the Rules of Civil Procedure.

He has defended over 60 class actions, handled over 250 real estate and mortgage matters, and is a part of over 40 reported opinions. Greg has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, Benchmark Litigation, and Martindale-Hubbell.
