Amy Adams, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Estate Planning & Trusts Practice, will co-lead an American Bar Association Section of Family Law CLE webinar on July 31. Amy’s topic, “Learn how Assisted Reproductive Technologies affect numerous areas when it comes to family law and estate planning,” will discuss Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) guidelines on custody deliberations, estate planning and divorce.
The webinar will teach family law and estate planning practitioners how to discern ART issues that could impact custody agreements in the context of paternity and divorce as well as frozen embryos or other genetic material in divorce. Participants will also learn more about the concerns surrounding ART and estate planning, as well as the requirements necessary in addressing the use of ART after death.
Amy focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, trust, and estate litigation and advising personal representative and trustees. She regularly represents young entrepreneurs, professionals, and high net worth individuals. She is a frequent speaker both locally and nationally.
