Brandon N. Robinson Shares Insights on the Importance of Advance Planning for a Data Breach with Birmingham Business Journal

Brandon N. Robinson, partner in Balch’s Birmingham office and chair of the firm’s Data Privacy and Security Practice, joined fellow cybersecurity professionals from technology and risk management companies, during a panel discussion hosted by the Birmingham Business Journal to share an update on cybersecurity issues that are relevant to businesses today. Brandon noted that cybersecurity has now become a risk management issue and not just a technology problem. Brandon says it is important for organizations to thoughtfully assemble a team that can plan, identify and handle such matters when they arise. The Birmingham Business Journal highlighted the panel and their insights in its November 22, 2019 edition.

At Balch, Brandon focuses his practice on providing advice and strategic counsel regarding electric grid reliability and customer data privacy for the energy industry as well as cybersecurity and data privacy for multiple industries. He also manages transactional projects regarding innovation and emerging technologies, ranging from broadband/telecommunications, to data-driven technology projects to the use of drones. He was one of the first Alabama attorneys be certified as a CIPP/US information privacy professional.
