Greg Cook Elected to the ABA Section of Litigation’s Council

Greg Cook, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and chair of the Financial Services Litigation Practice, was appointed as a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Litigation Council. The Council governs all aspects of the Section, setting policies, strategies and overseeing the Section’s task forces and committees. Greg will serve a three year term as part of the Council. The ABA Section of Litigation is the premier bar organization for lawyers, providing a unified inclusive voice within the industry. This members-only section includes legal professionals from all practice areas, informed with the latest news and thought leadership in legal strategy. 

Greg’s practice centers on financial services and commercial litigation, including class action and complex litigation. He served in many different positions within the ABA Litigation Section over almost twenty years, has been a part of the Leadership for the Section for a decade, and has published two books for the ABA on class actions. He is the recent author of "The Fifth Edition of The Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure Annotated" (Thompson Reuters) and serves on the Alabama Supreme Court Standing Committee on the Rules of Civil Procedure. Greg was named a BTI Client Service All-Star in 2017 and 2018.
